First of all no offense taken Cole. I think that class might only be required for journalism and broadcasting students. All of the people from that emphasis I have met are a little... well different. I haven't declared my emphasis yet though. I am started to not want to go into broadcasting. A lot of their course work is video editing and I have very little interest in that. I am still interested in radio production but I am not sure which emphasis that would fall under. As a side note public relations is sounding pretty sweet. On the other hand all the cool kids I have encountered from Communications are advertising people. I am glad I have a while to mull that over.
Well my life has been pretty zesty. I gave a speech on crocheting on Monday. It was rough. I know so much about it that condensing it down to a five minute speech to people who don't know anything about crocheting (let alone know the difference between crochet and knit) was hard for me to do. I still don't know what score I got. Point of interest though, For my first speech I had to give a speech about an experience that I had. I chose the time we all got chased by a tractor. Classic. My class loved it. My public speaking class is probably one of the most interesting classes I have right now. Also my American Foundations teacher, I have decided, is basically the college Mrs. Ashton. Whoa.
In other news, I have become a bridesmaid. My friend Jessica is getting married December 17th to her fiancé Matt. I guess December will be a busy month. However drum roll please..... She is getting married in the temple! Yay! This makes me feel a lot better about life. I am proud of her getting to the temple. Hopefully she realizes the gravity of the covenants she is going to be making.
As for temple trips, Way to go Cole! I think Chris went through the temple the day before you did (he told us he was going on Tuesday at Uno League). It is so nice to see all these guys (especially you Cole) getting ready to go out and join God's Army. As for that if anyone hears anything about Scotty's farewell I think that might be some nice information to be made known to the group.
Well I have been crocheting lately. I suppose that isn’t much surprise. I have had sort of backlog from the summer, which is unfortunate. I finished the Thor’s hammer that I started way back in July. I think I will give it away for Christmas. That is mostly what I have been thinking about thus far for crocheting. I have one more big project for Christmas but I don’t know how long that will take me. I am still trying to figure out what to give you guys for Christmas. I don’t think I will have the time to make anything to huge and spectacular. I think I might end up crocheting smaller presents for actual Christmas and then see if I can do better while off track. I make no promises though. Word to the wise though, if you ever learn how to crochet, don’t tell people. I am supposed to teach two people how to crochet, then I have a bunch of people begging me for things and then I have what I actually desire to make. Tricky stuff my friends. I am not complaining though. On the campus online bulletin board somebody is hiring crocheters. It struck me as strange but apparently they need a bunch of crocheted hats. I would totally do it but alas, I have school. If it was when I am off track then it would be no problem.
Socializing on campus is sort of undesirable though. I have mostly stuck with the people that I know from high school. I know that at least one of you (probably Moriah or Logan) encourage me to branch out and that sort of thing but it is a different ball game. I don’t really feel like people have a desire to get to know me. I am not really to bent out of shape about it though. I went to college it get an education not to find a new posse. My life is good though. I looked through the photos on my phone the other night and I couldn’t help but smile. My life is pretty darn good. Well I guess I will end with this. I miss all you guys. We need to get together (all the people still in the Burg). I hope you are all happy and living the dream.
Sarah
