March

Well it seems as though the flog is pretty abandoned. Sure maybe it isn't such a wonderful idea to continue to flog after this ship has sailed. But of course why would I let something slip quietly into the night never to be heard from again when I could almost as easily drag it all out. I don't know if anyone out there is still reading but honestly I am alright if I am the only one that will ever see this. For some reason I really dig the idea that something is totally public but no one sees it anyway, sort of like an unintentional secret. So here is Sarah's piece for now. Life is great. I feel like I am moving on from highschool. When I first started college it seemed like college would just be a harder version of highschool. The same people lurking around and everything. Well I haven't actively socialized (as in hang out) with any of my highschool friends since I went to Provo over a week ago. Most of my social life right now is genuine college. I like that they don't know anything about me. They don't know what crazy things I did in highschool or what I wrote in the city paper. They know me as "Ma Alldredge" the baking wonder and one of their few friends with a car. Don't get me wrong I still love, love, love my friend from highschool but there is something particularly refreshing about not knowing someones past and nott having them know yours. There is still some mystery you know? And even better there are those moments of revelation or confusion. Like the other day I told someone that my mom works in the library and they were like "I'll go find Sister Alldredge" and I said you won't find one. The look of confusion was priceless. I know I should clarify but I do love a good mystery for people. Life is entertaining. Running around with new people is a great way to appreciate the old people and just see the world. I worry about the people I graduated with who are holding on so tight to their highschool step ups. They schedule classes together, they move into together and make no new friends. Sure life was great for you then. There was more power and control up for grabs. There was a rigid social caste but now its just a buffet. I like my options and I am glad that I didn't peak in highschool. Well I will stop pining on about how much I love life and just say that I have gotten some pretty rocking stories in the past few months. See you home dawgs on the flip side.
Sarah
